{"id":10048,"date":"2018-03-26T13:21:11","date_gmt":"2018-03-26T07:51:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.airwhizz.com\/?p=10048"},"modified":"2018-05-13T18:15:19","modified_gmt":"2018-05-13T12:45:19","slug":"flying-paperless-to-become-reality-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.airwhizz.com\/index.php\/2018\/03\/26\/flying-paperless-to-become-reality-india\/","title":{"rendered":"Flying Paperless Is About To Become A Reality In India!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over the past few years, the number of passengers flying In India has increased and airports are finding smarter and innovative ways to deal with increased passenger traffic.<br \/>\nIn a move\u00a0counter this situation, air transport IT and communications service provider SITA is going to help India lead the way in biometric air travels.<\/p>\n<p>According to Maneesh Jaikrishna, SITA Vice President &#8211; Indian Subcontinent, Eastern and Southern Africa, the SITA will deliver a seamless biometric experience across all airlines and airports (Domestic and International) in India by linking the Aadhar Biometric system with SITA\u2019s Smart Path Technology.<\/p>\n<p>Elaborating on the concept he said, the biometric identification cards and foreign passports of the citizens will be linked to the databases of airports, airlines and other stakeholders. This will make the passengers flying experience more consistent and secure during the journey. This will allow passengers to use their biometric identity, no matter where they travel.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the biometric air travel experience, SITA has also provided a solution for secure and smart baggage handling at the airports. The Airports Authority Of India(AAI) will implement the SITA\u2019s baggage management solution \u201cBagManager\u201d at 15 Indian Airports to improve the baggage handling operations. BagManager was first implemented at the Kolkata and Chennai airports back in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mr Jaikrishna \u201cSoon, 15 airports in India will start getting real-time information on the status of passengers&#8217; baggage, which will significantly reduce the chances of baggage mishandling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 15 airports where \u201cBagManager\u201d will be implemented are \u2013 Thiruvananthapuram, Calicut, Mangalore, Tirupati, Chennai, Madurai, Kolkata, Goa, Lucknow, Jaipur, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, Trichy and Ahmedabad.<\/p>\n<p>The paperless initiative is being adopted all over the world, and we at <a href=\"http:\/\/app.airwhizz.com\/dwn\/?ref=blog2603\">AirWhizz<\/a>, are continuously working towards implementing it in India because we believe that flying paperless is the future of air travel.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.airwhizz.com\/index.php\/2018\/01\/20\/5-reasons-fly-paperless-next-flight\/\">Wondering what are the different benefits of flying paperless?
