{"id":12365,"date":"2019-01-19T11:15:28","date_gmt":"2019-01-19T05:45:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.airwhizz.com\/?p=12365"},"modified":"2019-01-19T11:15:41","modified_gmt":"2019-01-19T05:45:41","slug":"singapores-low-cost-airline-scoot-to-expand-operations-in-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.airwhizz.com\/index.php\/2019\/01\/19\/singapores-low-cost-airline-scoot-to-expand-operations-in-india\/","title":{"rendered":"Singapore\u2019s Low-Cost Airline \u201cScoot\u201d To Expand Operations In India!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scoot, the low-cost arm of the Singapore Airlines Group, has\nannounced plans to strengthen its presence in India with flights to three new\ncities, including Coimbatore, Trivandrum and Visakhapatnam.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scoot, launched in June 2012 and merged with Tigerair Singapore\nin July 2017, retaining the Scoot brand, currently operates on seven routes\nbetween Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Lucknow, and\nTiruchirappalli in India.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new routes are due to be transferred over from sister\nairline, SilkAir, and Scoot will be the only airline operating direct non-stop\nflights from Thiruvananthapuram and Visakhapatnam to Singapore.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Flights from Trivandrum to Singapore will commence from 7\nMay 2019, and flights from Coimbatore and Visakhapatnam will start from 27 October\n2019.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The airline has announced a limited-time sale on flights\nfrom all its India points &#8211; including Trivandrum, Coimbatore and Visakhapatnam ,starting\nfrom 14th \u2013 28th January 2019 on its website.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One-way promotional fares (inclusive of tax) begin from as\nlow as Rs4,500 for economy, for trips to 27 cities in Australia, Indonesia,\nThailand, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam via Singapore.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scoot\u2019s network presently encompasses 66 destinations across\n18 countries and territories, with 16 more destinations from Laos, India,\nChina, Malaysia and Indonesia to join the network by the second half of 2020.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scoot, the low-cost arm of the Singapore Airlines Group, has announced plans to strengthen its presence in India with flights to three new cities, including Coimbatore, Trivandrum and Visakhapatnam.
